Midfielder Cam Milne previews the Meadowmen’s first league game of the 2020/21 campaign, as Worcester Raiders travel to the Crown Meadow at 3pm on Saturday.

Milne has so far been an influential player in scoring and providing goals for Bridgnorth and is looking forward to playing for his new club, where he believes he has fit in well so far.

On fitting in:

I feel as if I’ve fit in well here. Everyone at the club has been very welcoming, from the bar staff, to the committee, to all the lads which has made it a very easy place to come.”

On trusting Graham Ward:

“After speaking to Wardy, and listening to his ideas and what he wanted to achieve at the club, the decision was made a lot easier to come here and put my trust in the manager. He’s been here before and he has experience that I think will help me personally come on at this level. It’s feels safe to have a manager who knows exactly what his goals are and where he wants to be this time next year.”

On his performances so far this season:

“I’ve been given a lot more freedom to go out and play. I get to express myself more which has built up my confidence to take more shots from range and go and get myself in the game. The side line entourage have encouraged me to shoot, whenever I get the chance too- so if I have that many shots, eventually one will go in!”

On midfield partner Pike:

“Playing alongside Pikey has taught me a lot about being calm on the ball. He’s helped me understand that it’s not the end of the world If I was am to make a mistake and makes the game easy for me, and players around me, by his constant chat to us during the games.”
